I’m an experienced educator and tutor with over 20 years of experience helping students learn, grow, and build confidence. I specialize in English Language Arts, Elementary Math, and Spanish, working with students from K–12 and college-level Spanish.
I hold an AA in Liberal Arts, a BA in Speech & Language Pathology, a K–12 Learning Disabilities Teaching Credential, Autism Authorization, and a CLAD Certificate. My experience includes working as a Speech & Language Assistant, substitute teacher, K–12 Special Education Teacher, and tutor. I taught special education for 18 years and have been tutoring since 2021.
My teaching style is individualized, supportive, and engaging. I get to know each student’s strengths, interests, and prior knowledge so I can create lessons that meet their individual needs and goals. I believe building confidence is an important part of learning, and I strive to make each session both productive and fun.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy walking and hiking outdoors with my dog, Butterz. He keeps me active, laughing, and enjoying the beauty of nature!
